From the left side navigation menu, you can go to Assets (highlighted) to manage your inventory.
By clicking on the highlighted icon, you can add an asset into your inventory
The following window pops up when you click on Add Asset.
You need to enter the mandatory details like Asset Name, Serial Number, Asset Type, and Acquisition Date.
Asset status is an important parameter. If you don’t select a status, it is by default tagged to your institution and NOT to a specific terminal (depot).
You can use highlighted dropdown to choose one of the options.
If you choose the status : Active or Spare, the division, zone and depot dropdowns are enabled and you need to tag the asset to a depot. You can’t proceed without choosing all three options.
For any other status (Lost/Stolen, Repair, Inactive), the three dropdowns remain disabled and the asset will be tagged to the institution in this case.
Once you have entered all the necessary details, you can use the Save button to add the asset to your inventory list. If you want to cancel this operation, simply hit Close.
By clicking on the highlighted icon, you can update details of an asset.
The following window pops up when you click Edit.
Once you have updated the details, you can hit Update to make these changes effective. Hit Close if you want to abort this operation.
The highlighted section shows the asset history. This list is automatically updated whenever a user changes the status or adds comments to the asset.
To track who made these changes, the history list keeps track of the user who made these changes. This can be used for audit purposes.
You can use the highlighted Export button to download the .csv report of assets for further data analysis.
